Hi, my name is Ray. I am a decendent of the people now known as Indonesian. I was born in Velp Holland. My family fled the tropical peradise of Indonesia as refugees after WWII when Communism was knocking on the door. After a relitively short stay in Holland, we immigrated with nothing but two suitcases to the State of Washington, USA, in the early 60s where I grew up in the Seattle area. I lived there until the mid 70s when I joined the United States Navy and traveled the Seven Seas. Well, to tell the truth, I retired after 22 years without ever having served onboard a ship! I did see almost every Continent and I did play golf in the world's largest sand trap during Desert Shield/Storm. Imagine that, a Sailor in the middle of the Desert! I retired from Uncle Sam's Canoe Club in 1997 and now call Aurora CO, home. I work for Northrop Grumman as a Senior/Lead Engineer maintaining a quarter billion dollar computer based system.
